About This Study

Hepatitis C Drug: MK7009 Phase IB
 
You May Be Eligible For This Study If You:

AGES: 18 years – 55 years.
GENDER: Both.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Subject is a man or a woman 18 to 55 years of age.
  • Subject has chronic Hepatitis C.
  • Subject is willing to not use alcohol for 2 weeks prior to therapy and through the study follow-up period.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patient has evidence of advanced liver disease.
  • Patient has human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
  • Patient has Hepatitis B.
What Do I Have to Do?

This study lasts approximately one month.

If you qualify for the study, the Study Doctor and Study Nurse will explain the study procedures to you.

You will visit the study site 14 times over 22 days. One study visit may be overnight. You will take the study drug two times a day for 8 days. At these study visits a physical exam, a test of your heart (EKG) and blood tests will be performed to monitor your health.

  • The Study Doctors and Study Nurses want to help you understand the study.  Please ask them any questions you have.
  • You will not have to pay for the study drug or the study tests.  You may be compensated to partly cover  your time and expenses if you take part in the study.
  • Talk to your own doctor, too. Ask him/her if this study may be right for you.
